We are working to improve access to appointments for our patients, in particular at evenings and weekends. If you would like to be offered one of these appointments, please ask. These appointments may be at a different site; for example, Victoria Hospital, Wimborne.
We run an appointment system, so please make an appointment either by calling in person or phoning 01202 880786.
Please tell the receptionist if you are a new patient or require a special appointment, e.g. ante-natal, cervical smear, vaccination, minor surgery or a special medical examination.
Patients are welcome to consult whichever doctor they feel most comfortable with and we aim to see all patients within 24 hours if they wish.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they may feel one is required. This chaperone may be a family member or friend. On occasions you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present, i.e. a trained member of staff.
Wherever possible we would ask you to make this request at the time of booking the appointment so that arrangements can be made and your appointment is not delayed in any way. Where this is not possible we will endeavour to provide a formal chaperone at the time of request. However, occasionally, it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.
Your healthcare professional may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations in accordance with our chaperone policy.
If you would like to see a copy of our Chaperone Policy or have any questions or comments regarding this please contact the practice manager. Further information can be found by clicking on the link to the right of the screen.
It could be helpful to talk to Dr Deverell, Dr Graeme-Barber, the Practice Nurse or HCA on the telephone.
Reception will be pleased to advise you of the best times to call and can arrange this for you.
Please help Dr Deverell and Dr Graeme-Barber by keeping home visits to a minimum. Coming to the surgery enables us to give more time for patient consultations. We will try our best to see you as promptly as possible.
To request a visit please phone the surgery by 11:00am. Your visit request will then be passed to the Doctor for assessment.
