Online Patient Access

To Register For the Online Patient Access System

You can register for the new "Online Patient Access" system - this allows you to order repeat medication and your medication list is pre-filled so you will not have to list your medication as you do in the current system.  You can also book appointments online and view a basic Summary Care Record.

Please note that this system for ordering repeat prescriptions is being phased out so for greater access to online services now and in the future please register for the Online Patient Access System as explained above.)

 


 
Repeat prescription requests can be left in reception, sent by post or ordered online by following the link on this page.

If you post your slip in and wish the prescription to be sent back to you, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

Local chemists Boots (Quarterjack), Sturminster Marshall, Colehill Pharmacy and Walford Mill Pharmacy will be happy to arrange collection of your prescription and dispense it for you.  We are also able to send prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy of your choice anywhere in the country as long as the pharmacy is on the EPS system.

If you are going on away and think you may need an extra supply or an earlier than usual prescription, please let us know in plenty of time before your prescription is due.

Please allow two full working days before collecting your prescription.

We can arrange delivery for housebound patients.

URGENT prescription requests

If you are on holiday or visiting the local area and find that you have run out of or forgotten your repeat medication, during working hours (8am-6.30pm) in the first instance you should contact your regular GP who should be able to electronically send your prescription request to a local pharmacist or post or fax the prescription. If you urgently require medication out of hours (after 6pm on Friday) or on a bank holiday, you should contact a local pharmacist who may be able to process a supply of repeat medication* to you.

*Please note this service is not available for controlled drugs

Old medicines and carrying of drugs

We don’t dispose of used sharps or receive unwanted controlled drugs or dispose of unwanted medicines: These should be returned to the issuing pharmacist. We keep NO controlled drugs on the premises and the doctors carry NO controlled drugs in their bags.
